The title of the thread is accurate when it comes to the Cajuns in one aspect. The NIL money needed to truly compete does not exist in this community.

The focus on "this community" aka "Our Town" was never going to be a good move.

I suspect that not all of the big money flowing into into NIL rich programs is originating in "their town"

The money certainly exists within Acadiana. The desire to contribute doesn’t, whether it’s a lack of care about the program or a desire to not be part of the stupidity that college athletics has become. I can’t fault the latter.

You are correct but this community by and large donates more money to LSU whether they went there or not which, sadly, many of them did not.

or maybe their education from Louisiana taught them to evaluate without bias how to spend their money in a fruitful manner for greatest returns to the spender and for that they will be forever grateful to Louisiana, their alma mater - that insight my be leading them to make a decision that spending any money at all on NIL at any school is truly a waste of the hard earned money made from their efforts and that the ROI is just not there for them - have you considered that the education received from those who really open their pocketbooks to large sums of NIL donations may not have been the best of educations and it is really not serving them very well as the send checks to tsab or other like institutions . . .

The vast majority of LSU supporters are from the uneducated ranks, so I doubt it's something they learned in SCHOOL. Face it there is no return on spending their whole check on LSU tickets. Dead heads do dumb things

failed to learn in school was my point - if they did not go to school, certainly they could not have learned anything from school and in that instance, who are we to judge where they send their money and why they send it there . . .
