Bourbon and Cigars…

Since the Cajuns are struggling I’ve picked up a new vice to add to Bourbon drinking and Cajun Football….

Tonight I’m trying a Brickhouse Mighty Mighty Maduro with some Elijah Craig Small batch.

Throw out some other pairings to try. Collection is small so far but I have mix from mild to full. Favorite so far was a Patron 5000.

Had a taste of some Pappy Van Winkle. I will never drink that again it was so good. I was at a friends house, he had it left over from some big celebration.

I bought a bottle of 12 year old about a year before it blew up for like $70. I drank it like it cost $70. Whoops.

Recently tried a 12 year Weller. Excellent but won't be buying a bottle. Goes for about $170

The VERY BEST I've ever tasted was Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked. I was fortunate enough to get to taste it once and I probably never will again. It's a $200.00 bottle. Absolutely amazing.

Good stuff! Had some 4 Roses single barrel last night. Finished off today’s game with Willet bourbon.

Good stuff. We’ve done the Willet bourbon tour along with about 10 others. I never tire of good bourbon. Then again I’ve never had a bad one.

For the game I had a Padron 1964 natural with some Blanton’s. Very good plus we won, so I guess that’s a win-win.
