Thread: CajunsWin Louisiana 31, South Alabama 22

  1. UL Football UL football faces yet another must-win matchup vs. Texas State in Week 11

Louisiana football can let out a deep sigh of relief following a much-needed bounce back in Week 10 vs. South Alabama.

The Ragin’ Cajuns’ 31-22 victory over the Jaguars not only helped snap a three-game losing streak, and a four-game slide on the road, but it also kept their bowl game dreams alive. That sigh of relief will only last for a couple of days as their postseason hopes still hang in the balance as we enter Week 11.

They can reuse this title for every game left.

My solution would never happen...no more NIL. Although i wish if we had a player get poached by a bigger School, atleast let us get compensated for development.

Similar to a coaches buyout? That would make sense! 15 percent perhaps?

How about allow schools to officially opt in or opt out. (Could include portal as well).... [or could make a threshhold, if lower than thresshold similar to opt out]

If a school opts out, they receive some benefits such as possibly extra practice time, expanded roster limits (or curtail the practice time and rosters of those who opt in). Maybe even tie breakers to the opt out team for bowl eligibility, extra tv spots guaranteed perhaps, extra home games, higher conference move consideration....plus many many more feel free to add.

Can you elaborate on this idea? Opt in or out of what exactly?

Thanks...have each school declare whether or not they will choose to participate in issuing NIL payments/allowing their players to receive NIL or not.
I.e. an opt out would be playing under the way things were supposed to have been in the past under old rules of amateurism....many have said they dont want ti have NIL, this would be a way to do that

The way to fix NIL is to fix the portal.

    Coaching Change:
    Transfer immediately eligible.

    First Transfer:
Sit a year, no loss of eligibility.

    2nd Transfer:
Lose a year of eligibility, but do not have to sit a year.

    Post Graduate Transfer:
    Immediately eligible.

Im not sure i agree with immediate for all coaching changes... how about incoming but not outgoing, that way they cant steal their players and bring with.

As far as post grad, the problem is many are not taking true graduate programs. They are labelled post graduate. Lower the hours requirement, but then still take undergrad classes. Less time on school more time on illegal practice.

Also make post grad transfers forgoe NIL, a graduate degree is priceless

That makes too much sense. Too bad the courts will never allow it.
