I would have to say yes. No real weaknesses. Lotta size on the lines. Playmakers at wr and rb and a 6’ 3” qb who might be the best ever at Erath.

Only thing that might be a problem is the HC suffers from that “must be balanced” play calling.

Better than Fourroux?

Yikes. CHS had a coach like that when Matt Dezmo was a senior. That was probably our most talented team ever accross the board. Huge everywhere. Great running backs, big running QB, 3 or 4 D1 futures players. Went into the 3A playoffs ranked 3rd, with only a close loss to Notre Dame who was at their peak. Beat Lutcher at Lutcher, when they were feeding LSU RBs. Played West Saint Mary in the 1st round, who we had beat by multiple TDs in district play. Matt was running for chunks at a time, but Comeaux HAD to throw the ball. Literally could have beaten them by 30 running like 3 different running plays. Nope, lost trying to throw. That team should have won the state title (before the split when it really meant something).

I remember that team. Definitely should have won the title.

It's hard to compare Fourroux to the current QB. Back then, DF had no help, but they are loaded right now.
