Glassco, the Thief and Betrayer! Texas Tech has beyond too much money, due in part to Oil Field in that area! Learned that on Landman, the series! LOL

They brought in some players with a decent NIL purse for basketball that Coach Q was able to get together for these players. If it works and we find ourselves in the NCAA tournament this year with instant success, then we know what we have to do and that involves the coaches actively assisting in getting those NIL funds for their specific sports. They no longer can just say I am here to win games. Yes they are here to win games, but in today's climate of college athletics, the coach must be actively involved in generating NIL as well which is totally legal now.
The coaches must also actively engage the fans to boost attendance at their sport, as ticket sales directly impacts the University's contribution toward said NIL.

Spot on. Someone needs to inform the coaches, especially football. However I am not convinced he is capable.

Just saw an article bragging about TTU’s 7 million dollar defensive line. It’s amazing now that the money is out in the open how crazy it’s gotten.

How is he a thief and betrayer? Look what he got offered by Texas Tech. Who wouldn't move for that? Coaches move on for better deals and more money, i.e. Yvette to LSU. Didn't Napier take players with him and get much more money at Florida? Didn't Marshall's coach take key players to USM and now look at what they are doing. Unfortunately, in today's world of portal and NIL, these thing happen. It is ruining college athletics. UL is not a major player in college athletics. Can't blame Glassco for making the move and securing his financial future.

Hard to believe his finiancial future wasnt already secure, not a very good teacher to the students under his charge if it wasnt, especially since it seems he never really had a "typical 9 to 5 job" his entire life, or not for very long if he did lol. not too shabby.

I’m not going to defend Glasco for decimating our roster. A damn good one with a chance to compete for the WCWS.

Funny that the subject came up recently with a TSA agent at LFT. I was wearing a Cajuns shirt and he asked if I was a fan.

We started talking about sports and he mentioned that Glasco still comes through Lafayette. The agent shared that he’d talked to Glasco about leaving.

The narrative was that Glasco didn’t want to leave, but he was promised a raise and resources year after year at UL and it didn’t happen.

Now 2 things can be true at once. A huge raise. Seemingly unlimited NIL $. Yeah, you may have wanted to stay, but I can imagine he’s happy.

But you can’t help but wonder if UL is to blame too. Given the state of things it’s fair to think that may be the case.

For the long year folks the Cajuns would have won if it was a typical 7 inning game.

Maggard knew we are in a financial bind coming.

Now: When will the damn schedule be released? Lol
