Apparently it got us in major debt last time and the expected revenue for wining never happened.

JMO. But winning in the Sun Belt and its schedule does not inspire fans to attend. And if they do attend, the game day experience is mediocre at best. Winning alone does not generate excitement. Our product does not sell and none of that is ever addressed by the athletic department. It is simply put on a game and hope people show up. And, if they do, they may not return because of the in-game experience. We should easily avg. 30,000 fans a game, instead we struggle to get 15,000 - 20,000, then lose them following a loss. We should be like E. Carolina with a 50,000 seat stadium and avg. attendance over 40,000 even without significant winning seasons and with 4 other P2 schools in their state, UNC, NCSU, WKU and Duke. Hard to imagine doing that in the SBC, although App State and JMU seem to find success with it. Maybe with the right leadership we can.

Inevitable because failure to capture the imagination will quickly become failure to capture the dollars.

Of course results are still a prerequisite

People around here have said for decades, if the cajuns win then I will go, that was obviously a lie. We will never average that until we grow the fanbase organically through the students, you will never get people to consistantly go to games without some kind of emotional/sentimental tie to it. In my opinion, the only way to get that is the time while in school going to games. Thats the people that show up no matter what.

Frankly we need to up the ante and publicly state expectations for the football program are competing for the CFP G6 berth. How else do we justify the increasing ticket/parking prices and overcame fan apathy?
NO. Out of fairness to the customers, he must be fired at the end of this current season.

Would need a Phil Knight type donor in the age of NIL. It's over.

We aren’t and never will be like ECU.

We need a 33-35k stadium, that’s it. Matching east side and then upgrade the amenities to go along with it.

Nearly every single one of yall view Cajuns football, and Cajuns athletics through the wrong model. That includes the Athletic Department.

We will never be SEC light, we are unique and our approach to athletic success should be just as unique.

During football season, there should be 6 festivals a year at The Swamp

3 more the rest of the year.
