I got called away for most of game. Agree with most of what I’m reading. The guys played hard. Great effort by the defense today. Feel like Lunch will continue to get better/more comfortable as he plays more. Still feel like his passing game, while getting better is focused one first option and limited reads after that. Yes, sometimes that’s due to limited time due to pressure by opposing D.
Play calling still leaves a lot to be desired but several times you have to wonder if the receivers as a whole are on the same page.
I think 99% of us had JMU winning this game, but from here on out our games are mostly toss-ups IMO. Just need to continue making positive strides in ALL 3 phases and we’ll win our fair share and contend in the West.
With luck I’ll be in Lafayette for the Texas State game.

Wayne Knight rushed for 111 yards as James Madison (5-1, 3-0 SBC) picked up its fourth straight win and its first-ever victory over Louisiana (2-4, 1-1 SBC).

Barrett finished 26-for-40 through the air for 290 yards, connecting with Landon Ellis six times for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

I think you are right on the money. Just wanted to add with the loss of our best players including Washington, Carter, Broussard, etc……injuries to Howard, several experienced lineman, and many others, I can’t believe we played as good as we did today. Now with Lunch in and getting game experience, I’m looking foreword to getting some of the injured players back and playing opponents that are in the same NIL boat as us. It may be Lunch Time after all!!! He got too much exposure today, I bet some of the money teams already have him on their radar!!!

We need to bid for several experienced OL and DL from Portal. Watching our current guys attempt to run block against average to above average DL this season is painful.

Our skill positions are overall competitive. We need more OL bigly.
