Thread: UL Makes Their Budget Tough to Access

Default UL Makes Their Budget Tough to Access

    This is embarrassing.

During our work on these stories, we went to the university’s website to take a look at the budget, which was not available online. There’s a copy you can view in person in the library, and a free scanner to copy it, but we thought it would be easier for our viewers if the budget was available online.

The posting of budgets isn’t universal and all agencies that do it don’t use the same formats.

But we did some checking and the University of Louisiana at Monroe has their budget online; you can see it here (https://www.ulm.edu/25budget/). LSU has parts of its budget online for this year and several past years; you can see that information here (https://www.lsu.edu/bgtplan/Budget_I...ing-Budget.php). Closer to home, LCG has its budget online and has done so for decades. You can see it here (https://www.lafayettela.gov/finance-...uments/default). The Lafayette Parish School System also has posted its entire budget online for years; you can see those here (https://www.lpssonline.com/departmen...annual-budgets).

So ULM and LSU make viewing their budgets by the public easy and available online apparently, but UL forces you to go to Dupre Library.

We can’t help but continue to make ourselves look incompetent. It’s almost as if you have to start asking at this point if it’s all intentional. But why?

Well at tsab it says only "part" of budget..... just the parts they want people to see

P.s. nobody at tsab knows where the library is

Though I agree with your point, in my later years the name “Nimrod” I find conflicting. From AI..

Nimrod is a biblical figure described in Genesis as a mighty hunter and king who founded cities like Babylon and Nineveh. While the Bible provides only a brief account, later Jewish and Christian traditions portray him as a tyrant or the mastermind of the Tower of Babel. Scholars debate whether he was a legendary hero, an amalgamation of several real kings, or a symbolic representation of the Assyrian empire
