It will be very similar to what it was ending the year. Lunch may very well have more rushing attempts than our other backs like last year and he may very well get run down by the 6th game or so. I think with his injury history and how he got banged up last year, there's a good chance he doesn't play the entire season bringing our depth into play.
Lunch is listed as a Redshirt sophomore
2023: He played four games as a true freshmen. (qualifies as a redshirt year)
2024: He played no 'regular' season games due to injury.
2025: Clear starter
Can Lunch get a medical redshirt and be a Red Shirt Sophomore next year as well?
I agree NIL has changed college sports so much and the Cajuns are not benefiting from it like I wish we would. But, if it were my kid, I would want him or her to have every opportunity to play wherever they want to and make as much money as the free market would bring.
Let’s face it, before NIL the NCAA was making all the profit and an athlete might be the top player in college, get hurt in his or her last game, and limp away with relatively nothing but arthritis.
Like most things in life, NIL is good and bad at the same time. Jmo
