New UL women’s basketball assistant coach Temeka Johnson never imagined she’d become a coach once her playing days were over.

The former LSU All-American point guard and WNBA Rookie of the Year played 12 seasons of professional basketball in the U.S. and Europe.

Interesting. I remember Temeka well. The best biddy basketball player I’ve ever seen as a 12 year old. My daughter played against her a few times in tournaments. Good luck to her and Garry this season.

….Yes I remember those days….but don’t forget the girl that went to Capital HS, LSU, and the pros…..Simone Augustine I think ……So happy when VC beat capital in a tourney!!! Her daddy (loved him) would yell out show time when she did the great things on the court!
