Yep same! Next to the NO Bowl win vs SDSU, that game ranks as my most memorable game ever. The ‘82 game others are referencing was just a bit before my time as a big time Cajun fan when I started at UL in ‘87.
I witnessed it from the front row where I always stood when I was a student at UL. I remember the insane catch Quent McCollum made on 4th down and long right on the sideline in front of me, earlier in the game-winning drive.

The comeback against Marshall was one of the best comebacks for sure but my #1 still has to be 1982 against ULM. I was a sophomore at UL and I never saw a comeback like that. It was incredible.
Another extra tidbit about NLU, the Cajuns actually travel to Funroe and beat NLU in 1987…their NC season.
I keep thinking 1982 was a totalteam effort and 2025 was an offensive masterpiece.
I keep think a 1st string QB should be able to turn it on and a.3rd stringer shouldn't.
Then I remember Jake Delhomme was 5th string when Stokley went to him in an act of desperation.
A lot of factors to think about, including Houston being the best opponent. Then I just read that ULM won a NC that year.
