Lunch Winfield just might have saved UL's season with comeback: '17 points ain't nothing'
When Lunch Winfield got the nod from UL’s coaching staff to try to salvage something out of a 34-17 deficit with 6:55 left in the third quarter Saturday, the redshirt sophomore certainly had the odds stacked against him.
A season of such hope was rapidly fading away. It seemed like it was just a few minutes before that UL led by a touchdown and suddenly everything appeared hopeless.

Lunch Winfield accounted for five second-half touchdowns, including the walk-off rush, as Louisiana-Lafayette defeated Marshall 54-51 in two overtimes on Saturday night.
The Ragin' Cajuns (2-3, 1-0 Sun Belt) trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half, but stormed back with four straight scoring drives and tied the game at 41-41 with 16 seconds left in regulation.
