Thread: Desormeaux and Napier

Any play call works if all 11 execute and the very best play call doesn’t work if all 11 don’t execute.

I thought Dez called a pretty good game. The Oline played their asses off. WR made some tough catches and great blocks. Lunch did great.

I was spiraling and being critical of CMD and the coaching staff, but for the team to respond the way they did staring 1-4 in the face...that's a really big deal and a credit to the staff (and team).

I thought play calling was much improved. execution was lackluster for much of the game.

Most people, including me, have no real idea about game planning or designing plays, but is is very obvious to anyone with a greater than average knowledge about football when a play caller continues to call plays that aren't working or refuses to take advantage of obvious deficiencies in defenses for whatever reason.

That surely is happening sometimes, as all are not perfect. But the general lack of knowledge or understanding of the details leads many here to basically blame any play that doesn’t work on the play call.

5-13 Des in one score games. We have a ways to go.
