I'm not sold on his recruiting ability. The talent level is nowhere near where it should be to win games. So far, he's shown more areas of not being great than being great.

what you see is the recruiting one can buy with the NIL he is afforded . . . you go to the store with limited amount of money and see what you can buy over and and above roman noodles . .,.

Wouldn't hurt to try at this point since the season is basically over. At least that way we can go into the off-season knowing if it makes a difference or not. Besides that, you can know if you need to make a change at the position. Not trying at this point just seems like a missed opportunity.

What evidence do we have for this?

“Could be”, we don’t know because he sucks at play calling.

Neither am I which is why this offseason will be the biggest of his career and may go a long way either way for our program. We have to replace a LOT of seniors most of which either start or play significant time. This will be a rebuild and hopefully reload year and it will depend on Des's ability to recruit but also fill gaps through the portal while retaining as much talent as possible. My main concern is the RB situation. Curious to see if Bill and Perry stay. If not, we have huge holes to fill along with both sides of the LOS

Agree, example, 3rd and short and he chooses to throw it deep, when you have 3 good running backs, but wait, OL is unpredictable. How about a flair pass or pass across the middle instead of a 20-30 yard pass play, dumb in my opinion

A very true and accurate statement. You cannot drive a Corvette with a Kia wallet!
