Thread: UL addresses passing game, but other issues creep up in loss to Eastern Michigan

  1. UL Football UL addresses passing game, but other issues creep up in loss to Eastern Michigan

As unproductive as UL’s passing game has been through three games, the Ragin’ Cajuns enjoy a significant upgrade in that area — and still lose 34-31 to Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

The painful irony certainly wasn’t lost on coach Michael Desormeaux.

“It was good to see that part of the game look a lot better,” Desormeaux said. “Certainly to see some of those guys make some big plays. That’s certainly a positive, but it just wasn’t frequently enough, I guess, as an offense to be able to continue to tack on points.”

That was my thought when we went to the passing game on 4th and 2 with an empty backfield.

Not consistent enough yet to rely on it for a must get first down.
