If any Coach we ever had, has that kind of character to step aside, it would be Des. However, I think it's a miniscule chance.

Des is going no where. We don’t have a permanent president. The new president needs to hire the next coach, whether that happens this year or in five years.

It really sucks to have half a new stadium and fan support is headed to further erosion. I have limited faith the state comes thru in 2 years for the rest of the stadium. Biggest hurdle, parochial politics.

With NIL comes more expectations. Heck, Clemson got booed off the field at halftime today. Wisconsin fans were chanting “Fire Fickle”. It’s the new reality.

Think money is an issue now? We have 49 in Shreveport and Lafayette, the proverbial can getting kicked down the road, and BR with 10 needed widening and the bridge. And the folks on the south end of 90 are complaining about the only work down there is replacing the signs “Future I-49 Corridor”.

The big floater in the punch bowl will be the Saints. The day is quickly approaching where there will be a DEMAND for a new stadium. Don’t be surprised when the gambling folks in Mississippi jump in the mix.

That won’t stop the demand. The dome is one of the oldest stadiums now. It won’t be the first nor last time a team pushes for a new stadium mid lease. Chicago is probably latest one.
