I always read that wrong from academics to athletics.

For some reason I keep thinking you never lose your academic standing (which would be sophomore) but they add redshirt in front to let you know he has an extra year of elegibility for sitting out athletically.

I don't know how that works.

I hope Dez's buyout is not much. He had two years left on his original contract so why give him a five year extension??? Now you have boxed yourself in where you may have to buy him out earlier than expected. When Napier left UL his buyout was 3 million. Based on Dez salary that 3 million would have covered Dez's salary (755 a year) for 4 years so in essence Florida has been paying our HC's salary. Dez will get another year after this which will leave 3 left on his current contract. UL should have the money by then to buy him out if need be. There is no way his buyout is close to what Napiers was.
