This is why fans and alums become P4 fans and particularly LSU fans. Tired of losing, low funds, no attendance, no game atmosphere, poor facility maintenance and small time program. That describes UL and why it is a mid-level G5. I experienced it first hand at the Rice game. The only positive was the new half stadium. Fans just won't put up with this and would rather watch big time football on TV and support a big time winning program. We all strive to be successful and want to support and enjoy being a part of a successful program. This ain't it. We are moving in the wrong direction to the dismay of many fans, myself included. Never thought I would say that, but the Rice game opened my eyes to all the negatives that no one at UL ever seems to care to address.
Did anyone here attend the game? If so, you realized that the University of Michigan is less than 5 miles from Eastern Michigan. I hope you had a chance to visit the Michigan campus and check out their athletic facilities to see what a Big 10 campus looks like. I visited both schools a couple of years ago when I was in Detroit. A stark contrast of haves vs. have nots. Not unlike UL and LSU, only closer in proximity.
I believe I heard this morning that UL has moved over 20,000 students for the first time. We are not a small school. Did I hear that right???

19,723 to be exact. But 21k is needed for the university to make a profit. So, we are still ____ting in our own bed.
I found our problem. The freshmen class has an average GPA of 3.59 and average ACT of 25.15!!! These kids are too smart! We need more crazy dumb kids who love football like me!!!
Hasn’t 20k been a goal? And much like athletics, renting hotels are reactionary, not proactive.
