When you don't have a passing game, why not run a Rice type offense with Lunch as QB? We have the RBs and a running QB. Why not play to our strengths?
However, Des already said he is sticking to what we practiced in the spring and pre-season, so he will live and die with this putrid passing game. If we lose to EMU with this same passing game, he will do so at his own peril. Then again, we are playing arguably the worse team in the country, so what better team to get this turned around. This will be an interesting game to watch and could impact the rest of the season one way or another.
I don’t think it’s that easy to install an option offense in the middle of the week. We may have 3-4 option plays in the play book but you need more than that to beat a competent defense.
This game may be one of the most important games for the SBC. Lose it, there will be multiple opportunities for other pillow fights of the week featuring U-La-La against the likes against Uhlm, the Marshall Blundering Herd and the Georgia twins. Negative publicity is not something UL needs right now.
Oklahoma State…my goodness, what an absolute trainwreck. Presently being handled by Tulsa. This after Oregon hung 69 on them.
They’ve been sliding ever since the passing of T-Boon Pickens. Nobody has taken his place, and it seems the Pickens heirs aren’t as passionate about OSU as daddy.
Tulsa wins
Living on Tulsa Time has been an in and out resident of the Bottom Ten for multiple years. They might be turning the corner or OSU might be that bad. Give it a few weeks. Remember although Tulsa is a private research university, enrollment is reportedly under 4K. How sustainable that long term, who knows.
Mike Gundy loses at home to Tulsa for the first time in 74 years. Does he make it to Monday?
