Our roster was decimated by the portal and NIL, because the coaches did a pretty decent job in the recent past recruiting and, well, coaching and we have been good and a talent target.
I believe that this is the Ragin Cajun athletics forever and or course our. downfall.

Paying players is here to stay. The best from G6 will get poached every year with no compensation to the G6 school for the money spent recruiting/developing those players.

At some point, this model becomes unsustainable for the G6 school. I predict schools will drastically change their programs to offer some protection from poaching and to stand out from the pack. You're going to see more G6 schools every year go to option/wishbone/veer/air raid football.

And I am completely down with that. Remember the Mighty Ragin Cajun Steamrolling Zone Option Freak Show? I do.
