I have seen nothing so far that suggests this team is any better than 3-9. The offense is just that pathetic.

You are way to generous. This team in it current state will not win another game. After every game Des will talk like a big man. But deep down he knows he sucks at play calling.

I believe that this is the Ragin Cajun athletics forever and or course our. downfall.
I think this is probably correct unless there are major changes in NIL.

Paying players is here to stay. The best from G6 will get poached every year with no compensation to the G6 school for the money spent recruiting/developing those players.

At some point, this model becomes unsustainable for the G6 school. I predict schools will drastically change their programs to offer some protection from poaching and to stand out from the pack. You're going to see more G6 schools every year go to option/wishbone/veer/air raid football.

And I am completely down with that. Remember the Mighty Ragin Cajun Steamrolling Zone Option Freak Show? I do.

With players they invest NIL in, non-compete clauses are the only option I see being left for G5 schools to explore.

Me too. Employment contracts with non competes. No idea if that will fly legally.

It is, and it'll be the downfall of every other G5 program in the country.
