The Ragin' Cajuns had a challenging start in their new stadium with a loss to Rice on Saturday, leaving them 0-1. Adding to the woes, the team is currently without starting quarterback Walker Howard due to an injury.
Michael Desormeaux, the Cajuns' head football coach, highlighted the team's need for improvement in short-yardage situations and reducing dropped passes, which stalled drives.
UL coach Michael Desormeaux said Monday he didn't have an injury update on quarterback Walker Howard.
There is no prognosis and Howard's mobility has been limited since he got hurt late in Saturday’s 14-12 loss to Rice.
Matt Viator knows this team, coaches, and tendencies very well. Remember, he was on the Cajuns staff for that past few years.
He was also the HC at McNeese when they beat us in 2007.
I would not be surprised if this game is decided by one score or less.
Time for Lunch (or Breakfast)
After the disappointment of last week, I think the nervousness of back-to-back poor performances and potential losses to teams you're favored over by double digits is more excruciating at this point. Just need to get this next game over with, get the W and breathe for a minute.
