After replacing Lou Groza Award winner Kenneth Almendares and converting on a pair of field goals Louisiana's season-opener against Rice, redshirt junior Tony Sterner was named on Monday as the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week in an announcement by the league office.

Not sure our KO guy wasn’t told to try to kick inbounds to the corner. Coach liked to stop return team inside 25. Doesn’t work often and few other coaches do it. I’m for kicking thru the end zone all the time. Except for onside kicks of course.
