Following that 4th and goal from the 1! where we came up with that huge stop, we lose WH and Beale couldn't even get us in FG range, and not to tie but for the W!
Maybe we can run some triple option with Lunch and our two backs. We could have Lunch, Dinner, & Supper.
I say they should of started Beale in the first place!! This might be the beginning of a brand new era!!
Okay here is the thing we need to nickel it down the field. We need screen passes, option, RPO type plays we dont need 10 yards every play lets shoot for 5 yrds a play. The key is execution.
I would almost go 2 half backs in the back field all the time, and we need tight ends. Alot of blocking and alot of dump off passes
Take two wide receivers and send them deep just so if they want to bring there corners up we can go deep when we have to.
We need clock management wnd we need to control time of possession, we need to wear down a defense!
I want Bill Davis and Zylan Perry in the backfield at all times, time to work on your recieving skills.
Not sure if you can see it in the replay, but it was obvious that Howard was injured going out before the play that he went down. He didn't jog out, as usual and seemed to have a little bit of hitch to his giddyup.
My guess is he didn't tell anyone because he was trying to lead the team to a W, but I wasn't surprised when he went down right after the play. It looked more like a quad or groin issue to me, but have no information on it.
Been wondering the same thing. Desormeaux was the King of the option play. I could never figure out how a QB that looked so dang slow could pop a run for 6-8 yards on every carry. He must have been able to conceal the ball very well or he just could read the LB's and knew when to keep and run.
I was hoping he could teach this to his QB's. Howard actually looked like a good candidate for the option style of play.
