Just because LSU doesn't recognize our athletic branding doesn't means folks who pull for both programs and attend our games don't. You seen our budget problems? Struggles just to hire a softball pitching coach?

I'm good with them handing over money in exchange for tickets to Cajun Field.

There is no proof they used their own money to be there.... although yes, some money must have come to the university for them to be there one would assume, but maybe that money comes anyway even of that particular seat not used but was prepaid

Are we are trying to attract football fans? How many of the football fans that we are trying to attract are die hard UL fans or even UL grads? As a football fan, you are going to have interest in other games besides the UL game. We are wringing our hands trying to attract new fans and yet we want to set rules and parameters for people that actually attend the games and, in this case, spend a boat load of money for our athletic department. As a football fan, there was great interest in the #5 team playing # 9 team in the country. If you don't want to watch it, then don't watch it. You don't get better by eliminating competition. What we need to do is create an environment and have a team that people want to be around and support. We need to have a team that commands attention. There were times Saturday that, as a football fan, I wanted to watch something else.

If UL was ranked playing a good opponent on TV do you think that LSU would be showing our televised game in their club areas? I didn't think so either.

You are probably right, however we are the only state school to have consecutive top 25 CFP finishes higher than TSAB. Granted that was pre-NIL (20/21’) and that will likely never happen again as College football is pricing out everyone other than the richest 30ish schools.

We can definitely make a case for #2, however Tulane has been more competitive against P5 opponents and they have had the edge head to head.

Had we built off of 20 and 21 we could make a case. Tulane won the cotton bowl and beat us on our home field last year. They have capitalized off of the NY6 win and are only trending up. They figured it out. We did not. They are the clear #2
