It got hit by a vehicle between Kaplan and Gueydan.
Don't hitch hike kids...and walk with the traffic..

    That is why.

Why in the hell is he white anyway? A white alligator.

Good thing we're gonna field some great Football, b/c the marketing arm has gone to s&^% as of late.

    A white alligator.

It does beat a flaming dildeaux but what in the world wouldn't!
Because mascots are fake ... as they should be.

I thought Mascots were meant to be an integral part of sports. Why are we calling each other sell outs over potentially having one? Am I missing something?

Okay, that might’ve been a little overboard I don’t think you’re a TSAB fan or anyone else who’s against it. But here’s the thing: it’s not about whether albino gators actually live in the swamp. Our mascot is made-up. It’s a mystical creature, and that’s part of the charm. Just like the Rougarou people associate it with the swamps and Acadiana, even though it doesn’t exist. We could’ve made that our mascot too, and it would’ve worked.

Same goes for gators. People everywhere associate alligators with Louisiana. Doesn’t matter if you’re from a foreign country, California, Alabama—when you say “Louisiana,” they picture gators. I’ve met tons of people who immediately make that connection. First thing they ask is where are all the gators. I want to see a gator because thats what they associate Louisiana with. It’s part of our identity.

And making it mythical? That just makes it cooler. Look at WKU’s Big Red what even is that? Or Miami’s Sebastian the Ibis does that really represent a hurricane? No. But it works. It’s memorable. It’s fun. Same with a Seahawk I don’t think that’s even a real bird. That’s the point: it doesn’t have to be literal. It just has to feel right. And Albineaux, the Albino Gator, feels like Louisiana. Bold, mysterious, unforgettable.

Here’s another point: it’s sellable. Growing up, my favorite jacket was a Miami Hurricanes jacket with a bird. I didnt even know what the bird was bht it was cool. I loved that thing wore it everywhere. It had style, it had identity, and people noticed it. That’s the kind of energy Albineaux brings.

We would absolutely crush it with merchandise. Shirts, hoodies, hats, plush toys, tailgate gear you name it. A white gator with Cajun flair? That’s marketable gold. It’s bold, it’s unique, and it stands out on a shelf. Fans want something they can wear with pride, something that sparks conversation. Albineaux does that.

This isn’t just about having a mascot it’s about building a brand. And Albineaux is the kind of character that sells itself.

    Here is the Jacket!

    Jacket would sell!!

It’s unique! If it was just regular old alligator its less memorable, but if its like a white alligator makes it unique, and it is part of our colors our colors are red and white.

Syracuse Orange, so its a literal Orange that is orange, or WKU Big Red its only Big and Red because thsts there colors.

This is just why i support it.
