Dont know, good question.... but lawyers cut is usually bigger, ha. I wouldnt say tax the amount in and of itself, but tax the amount like any income that is above expenses.

Just remember, this is all happening because Jeff Landry and his party chose to cut income taxes for rich people (yes, ONLY rich people) and now there’s a huge budget shortfall.

Did you mean tax cuts for people that were paying income taxes? There… I fixed it for you.

The 2023-2024 Operating Budget was $42.1 Billion. The 2024-2025 Operating Budget is $47.2 Billion, both numbers admittedly according to Google AI. I used to read the budgets themselves, but got lazy.

There's plenty of money. Tax cuts "for rich people" isn't the problem.
Don’t forget every “feel good” tax exemption that the masses blindly vote for, never considering the consequences. Full disclosure, I’m in one of those groups, only learned that when I retired.

Who needs enemies when you have Castille as pres. I’m sure it won’t take much for Hartwell to sing like a bird to media outlets around the SBC.

No, literally just the rich people. They cut taxes for the highest bracket. They increased taxes on the lowest bracket.

And this was despite the fact that poor people already paid a higher effective tax rate than rich people in this state.

This is what Castille was hired to do. The old president couldn’t balance the budget because he couldn’t bring himself to do what Castille is doing.

I hope we can suffer in silence then if we're going to be getting our own Castille.
