Since I was 6 years old. Always looked at them as my hometown MLB team even though I'm from Metairie.

I went to the Astrodome to see the Astros in 1965 with my grandfather. We took a bus from Eunice to Houston. Been a fan ever since.

Started listening to Astros radio in the early 70's. Dieker, Watson, Cedeno, Lee May, Roger Metzger, Don Wilson and Jimmy Wynn. My first in person game was in the Astro Dome later to watch Nolan Ryan pitch.

Went there in 1967 with Mom and Dad. Also went to Astroworld. Had a blast.

Can remember listening on my homemade radio to Some of best play by play.
Lowell Pabst and Harry Callis...That ball is in Astros Orbit! With each Astro home run...

I think Lowell's last name was spelled Passe. Harry Kalis was the one who came up with the Astros Orbit phrase. He went on to be the Phillies announcer. Now his son, Todd is the TV play by play guy for Houston. Back to the early days, the main radio announcer was Gene Elston and he was outstanding at his job. During the days of the Killer B's (Biggio, Bagwell, Bergman), Milo Hamilton was the main play by play guy on radio. Listening to him was more fun than watching on TV .
