We’re an R1, globally respected, academic powerhouse, and y’all are really in this thread worrying about the lowly pursuit of selling tickets to football games. No lasting connections are made to universities and passed down through generations based off of athletics. And even if there are, those aren’t the kinds of people we want at our institution. We should be focusing our efforts on packing Edith Garland Dupre Library on Saturday afternoons. Get a life, losers.

I hear there's going to be a huge R1 banner hanging from the wing of the new Our Lady of Lourdes stadium just like they have in the Cajundome to remind everyone of our academic power.
