There is not a reason why we couldn't do both? The Southern Miss/LaTech concept, and then we would have a general tailgating area for everyone that is close to where people would park and close to the stadium, which would make the entire thing in the NEZ practical.
DJ in the student section....interesting.
The general tailgating area like the Ragin Box needs to be close to the stadium, The point is to create a designated space where everyday fans can gather, hang out, and tailgate together.
If I saw something like that as I was driving on Congress, all I would do is pass by and it would make me want to be there.
Again, I already provided the solution for everything regarding tailgating and gameday atmosphere.
My Take:
Everything has to be centralized. We can’t have one group tailgating here and another over there—it defeats the whole purpose. The goal is to create a unified, energetic atmosphere where fans feel connected and part of something bigger. Fragmenting the experience would dilute that impact.

YEP! The two videos I posted would be perfect for us—and especially for shaping the Ragin Box, which is modeled after the Band Box in Nashville. If we add the area you’re talking about, it could really elevate the whole experience. I’m not sure about the putt-putt golf, but cornhole, Connect 4, and other games would be spot-on for creating that fun, laid-back vibe.
I am not in control they can do whatever they want, but that is the way I look at it.
