Thread: Can we sell out???

  1. Default Re: Can we sell out???

If anyone manipulates the hill in any way, you will lose 30-35% of your crowd immediately. That would be a very shortsighted move. The majority of the kids on that hill are playing football, or jackpot, or racing each other… Ya know, the things we want our kids doing. Healthy social interaction with friends and strangers alike, gathered to root for the Cajuns. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday night as a 6-13 yr old.

Agree. My kids are 6 and 9 and love going to the games because of the hill. Both know the fight song and will cheer for TD's and sing along.

I'm like Esqueleto and loved attending games as a kid and thumbing through the program. That type of kid moving forward is ultra rare, too many entertainment options to compete for kids' attention. Not to mention youth sports are insane now-a-days, and not even sure how many games we will be able to attend as a family because of it.

Absolutely. 7 and 9 and wouldn’t be Cajun fans without the hill. I also sat and watched as a kid. Our kids are just different personality types. Doesn’t make it bad or good, they just don’t get memorized by athletes like we did as kids.

So you think attendance will drop by 5-6k per game?

I think you could see a dip of about 500-750. But 30-35% is really a statement.

If y’all don’t think removing our most family friendly option inside of the stadium won’t majorly impact our crowd size, you don’t understand our demographic.

It would definitely impact attendance, and I hope William Gee and the like don't sue this away from Cajun Field in the future, but it'll only take one bad accident, unfortunately.
