I couldn’t find the right thread to put this in, but thought it was an interesting article in that it lays bare how they really feel about us. It’s just a matter of time when they start calling for it publicly.

Where we are at today, (NCAA) is because everyone thought others opinions didn't matter.

The whole elitist way of thinking makes my skin crawl. They are the real reason Collegiate sports is in shambles.

If they want to put their money where their mouths are, they'd eliminate the playoff committee and revert back to a formula like the BCS and take top 12 teams period. There would have been around 17 G5 teams that would have made that format from 1998-2013.

Would also encourage scheduling stronger OOC opponents.

Separation has been discussed quit often on this forum. I do believe this will eventually happen sooner than later. I still believe there will be a new subdivision with the Top 50 or so programs and everyone else will eventually become what is left. They will have their own playoff system, this is why it was increased to 12 teams, not because they want to allow more teams in from the G5.

2030 will be the year when everything changes. We just need to position ourselves in the best position possible. If that means top of the G6 than so be it. We have been competitive wise in the top of the G6 in multiple sports the last 5 years besides Men's and Women's basketball.

As much as I hate to think or say this, but if the P4 want separation, then I say give it to them immediately. As of right now, the P4's should not be able to play anybody else but another P4. PERIOD. Let's see how they can survive like this. Let them have their own playoff system. As of right now, they do not want to include a G5 school in the playoff system, but they want to play the G5 schools all throughout the year. And a lot of these G5 schools are beating the P4 schools, yet the G5 school is not getting the true recognition that they deserve. If the P4 loses to a G5 early in the season, yet goes on to finish say 11-1 or 10-2, they have a great chance of making the playoffs. Yet if that same G5 finishes 11-1, or 10-2, they don't stand a chance in hell of making the playoffs.

Double standard. I say separate the divisions now, as of today, have a true playoff system for the G5's, and eliminate all bowl games.

My true wish is for a fully all inclusive playoff system is for the 5 G5 conference winners, the 4 P4 conference winners and 7 at large schools have a true playoff system.

Every Division 1 school should have the opportunity to play for a national championship in football, like basketball, baseball, softball,......and Div. II and III football ALL DO!!!! Again, eliminate the bowl games and have a true playoff system. But the P4's would never go for that because national embarrassment it would cause to them when a G5 wins the national championship.

And who knows, just like the NFC and AFC merged to create the NFL, (a wonderful merger that was), maybe the P4's and G5's could merge to create college football the way it was meant to be.

Fastest way to turn them into a .500 league
