For program growth, Louisiana needs signature wins and they will never get them if they dont start scheding opponents of very high caliber.

Louisiana needs it multiple times yearly just to remove the deer in the headlights look which is the biggest cause of near wins.

I agree with Maggard "The LA Tech games will have more meaning as in conference games"

"More meaning" meaning more interest more everything than they did out of conference.

What I don't agree with is claims of "savings"

As it stands Louisiana will now have to travel more to find a Tech replacement out of conference which will certainly mean more expense traveling.

Unless of course he stays local, but I hope the replacements aren't more FCS in state schools.

Local FCS would be the only way there would be travel savings, but it would undercut Louisiana's overall strength of schedule and result in lower overall attendance.

Good interview guys. I appreciate the effort. I liked hearing the timeline on the next phase of improvements, and Dr Maggard giving us the approximate budget. I think it would be great to play 2 P4's per year, he doesn't sound like he wants to put in that kind of effort for scheduling. They think weak wins are good wins, but most don't see it that way.

Not necessarily. We can play Lamar in baseball. Basketball wise, we can play an additional money road game which will bring in additional revenue.

Maggard said they have a $40 million budget but some on RP say we can't hire a pitching coach because of budget issues.
