Maggard said bussing was $110G on the low end and flying could be $300G on the high end. (with ranges in between)

    That adds up.
What interview did you listen to? That’s not what he said at all.

$110-130k for charter depending on fuel cost

    30-40k for busses

Hotels cheaper in Ruston than Austin

    Your delusion is causing confusion.

What he's saying is if the cost savings were so important we would have been playing them in every sport OOC, so for them to say this is THE reason for adding this poison to the conference is BULL____.

It takes 2 to make OOC deals..so you think it’s a coincidence after the old AD left in 2020 we sign a home and home in football and have been playing them home and home in basketball, baseball and softball? We have been playing them in every sport except football which had a home and home lined up.

Exactly. I’ve been trying to make this point for weeks.

This'll be my last comment on the subject because what's done is done.

We still have to replace the ooc games, which a bunch will go to Texas State (hopefully, because I LOVE San Marcos). I really hope we continue that relationship.

The minimal travel savings UL will see with Tech in the conference just isn't worth their intentional sabotage.

    My gap was $190G

    Your gap is $90G

Confusion or not, that's even less savings than I thought.

It’s not just UL that is saving and they didn’t vote them in alone. Troy, the furthest west member is now just a little further to latech than we were to San Marcos as the closest. The entire west will
Save on travel. With revenue Sharing and the settlement, money is an issue for everyone. This wasn’t voted on “to save UL and ULM”
    Money….its saves everyone.

True that other schools in West will generally net more savings than Cajuns. As they are in our same system, I imagine we voted for them to get academic cooperation

The discussion was never Tech vs Texas State.

That is a new addition to the conversation.

Of course Ruston is cheaper than crossing Texas.

Texas was gone when it was stated adding Tech will result in savings. It was never stated or contested whether Tech is or isn't cheaper than TX State.

The claim was moving Tech in from OOC would result in savings. I said it would not.

Scheduling being hard work is no excuse.

Claiming it couldn't be done without a conference holding their hand leaves a lot to be desired.
