Ironically oregon state was in a conference their first year of football and were conf champs, in 1893...however cajuns have edge as it was 30th year of university

Though the one in Jennings is spot on with their boiled crawfish, though that’s not really what Darrel’s gets raves from other folks about.

I usually stop at the one in Jennings when I go to Houston. I get the special (it's not a po boy. It's a sandwich) and it's typically good. Just feel out of place.

Stopped in May on my way back to Lafayette and the Cajuns were playing baseball. I knew what I was going to encounter since TSAB was playing at the same time but wondered if I could get them to turn UL on one tv. Yeah, didn't happen. Commented to the bartender and she gave me the look like "there's nothing I can do."

If anyone is on the fence about going, it's only a decent sandwich to be eaten in a place where wearing red makes you feel isolated. Which is nuts because Lafayette sits in between baton rouge and Jennings.
