    Florida paid Memphis $1.3 million for a road game last year.

    Using those funds (if repeated annually) it would take Memphis 192 years to pay off a $250 million conference offer.

    Memphis might have the easiest road to the playoff of any team in the entire country. I’d say Boise running the table would be the only g5 that could keep an undefeated Memphis out of the playoff spot. If I’m Memphis I’m saving my $250m. Make the playoffs a couple times and let the p4 eventually invite you themselves.

    And if they don’t, who cares. A g5 top dog isn’t a bad place to be.
