I thought the biscuits were too bready. I like them flaky with lots of layers - im finding no one in lafayette really understands this concept.

If you haven't tried Classic Cup in Maurice next to Hebert's, then you are missing out on life. No biscuits but everything they serve from the coffee to the sandwiches, scones, brownies and cookies.....are by far the best in Acadiana. But I will have to try Morain's. However, Classic Cup will be so hard to match.
I went there this morning to try it after reading the claim that they have the best biscuits in Lafayette, and while they are good, they're, by no means, close to Edie's. Heck, my biscuits are probably better, but I did enjoy it along with my coffee. I wish them well. The place is nice.
Went for lunch today & had a turkey & swiss panini. Good stuff. Nice place & friendly service. Will need to try their breakfast stuff soon.
