When I first met him, he was working on his undergraduate degree and then got his masters in statistics I believe. He and I have discussed hitting philosophies and I know that he is a believer that preperation is the key to being a successful hitter. Meaning that you study what type of pitcher you will be facing and you prepare for her strengths and weaknesses. I have no doubt he will hit the ground running when he gets here. If you looks at Western Michigan's stats for the time he was there, the team improved in every pertinent catergory.
    Good stuff...thanks Mark!

I made a phone call to someone in the softball industry and this is what they said about him: He wants to win and he is an excellent, tireless recruiter.

In the past few years, we've hired a baseball player to coach pitching and a couple of other coaches that had only been out of college a few years. This seems like an upgrade with some of the information stated about this incoming coach.
