Ill be honest, i always thought warhawk was a great name. Even though i thought it was BS they had to change... Not sure why it didnt get more publicity, i also thought redskins were going to change name to warhawks also.... oh well, that is a pretty picture too. Maybe not a bad place after all, lol

I've told this story here before. Years ago I was at a political luncheon, and sitting with some of the leaders from the Tunica tribe. I asked them what they thought of the possibility of ULM changing from the Indians, to the Tunica. They were enthusiastic.

I sent a letter to ULM, it was ignored.

It could have been a financial bonanza for them, and given them a strong identity.
