Tech is having the same impediments UL has regarding fan engagement and retention.

UL needs to look in the mirror first and fix things before any external actions happen. It’s a waste of time if you’re hammering students (future fans), they’ll be a generationally lost subset. Yes, it’s about the money at the end of the day, but that builds zero excitement.

And like church, people hear/see “give” too much, they leave and never return.

You’d think given over policing was the DAY ONE approach in the Cajundome versus Georgia (have campus police standing in the student section) contributed to that decline they’d know not to repeat the mistake.

Tech AD said basically for rivalry sake they will never call us Louisiana. Wonder why they didn't press him more on that. Interesting that our interviewer said he didn't mind the UL Lafayette name. Wish he would have just said that our branding is Louisiana and the SBC and national media are calling us Louisiana. Why won't Tech come on board with that?
