Not often I agree with a Rustonian...from BB&B

I hope we stay put in CUSA. Which, since I rarely get what I hope for, means we will be Belt bound. The powers-that-be will probably kowtow to local pressure, political pressure, justifying the move based on travel savings or some such reasoning. Bottom line this will be, for some of us, we have come full circle, essentially back to where we started from, the old Southland Conference. What's next, reviving the silly State Fair Game vs. the NSU Demons!?

How will Tech feel if there is no invite. Makes it seem they have resigned themselves to having to join the SBC. Tech thinks they are doing the SBC a favor by joining. Doesn't look like the SBC wants or needs them. Nothing like "lowering" yourself to accept an invitation that never comes.

A week or two back I was hedging Tech was a done deal. Talking to several people that have dealt with a few of the Eastern Members of the SBC, they don't have the votes yet. In fact, the game plan is to look at several others like WKU and MTSU. No one wants another travel partner in Texas considering the current options like Sam Houston.
