And they never pressed him on our Louisiana name. He just said he would continue to stick it to us on the ULL/UL Lafayette name and that was laughed off. I guess they can continue to call us what they want as long as the conference and national media continue to refer to us as Louisiana. You would think the conference would ask all members to abide by each team's branding preference. I guess that's not happening.

They are going to mirror what ULM does with us. Refer to us as Ragin' Cajuns on their online schedules, throw Cajuns on their scoreboards. Their coaches are going to call us Lafayette in press conferences.

Their ESPN+ broadcasts will have to show Louisiana.

You can bet that Tech will do everything they can to destroy our marketing efforts. The question is what will we do about it? My guess is that our administration will offer up the usual lackluster efforts. Maybe throw out a PowerPoint. Or some other 1990s Scott Farmer-ish lameness. Trust me when I tell you that we better do everything we can to be unfu*kwithable on this.
