Sorry if dumb questions, what are the "student resources" that enticed him and wrt to the tour, i realize a poor tour can set the decision in motion, but what did he want to see in the tour that an alum who has been to many games and events has not already shown him? For example, i dont remember taking the "formal tour" when i was a prospective student, nor did i get a sign
On Tech's campus they have 2 buildings and have plans to build a 3rd that house various businesses that work directly with students (internships). Both buildings are less than a block from Engineering building.
Closest thing to this that I had at UL when I was there was a bulletin board with job offerings. Engineering building that we toured at UL was EXACTLY the same as it was the last time I stepped inside of it in May'02. Again, very disappointing but not surprised. Auditorium that they brought us into to give a presentation about how great the Engineering program is still had the 1970s orange chairs.
Not bashing the Engineering program at UL. I still thinks its one of the top in the state for sure. My degree set me up to support my family and I will be forever grateful. But, its hard for me to sell a used car for a new car price.
