While this is probably true, in the sense that John Q. Public will not be lining up to buy game tickets, MANY former season ticket owners, including me, will buy season tickets because we have actual basketball teams coming to the Dome instead of the flood of SWAC and non-D1 opponents we have become accustomed to.

Credit where it’s due. You can clearly see a shift in thinking (and execution) on the scheduling. Amazing what good relationships will do for a home slate.

This may be true; but they are not the best teams on our home non-conference schedule. For the last few years SWAC and MEAC level teams have been the best games our non-conference home schedule offered.

Look I know our home schedule has been lacking in quality opponents but that statement isn’t even remotely close to being true. Last year neither of those conferences were in the dome while Kent state McNeese and Lamar were. Say what you want about the southland but both were good teams. The year before again no SWAC or meac with Youngstown st, Toledo, Samford and EKU in the dome. Not great but they were certainly not SWAC or meac level. A SWAC team hasn’t been to the dome in 5 years.
