Thread: G5 Revenue 2023-24

  1. Default G5 Revenue 2023-24

This was posted on the CSNBBS board and we can see where UL stacks up against other G5 school budgets. That was two seasons ago. Wonder if it is close to that now.

    G5 Revenue 2023-24

We'll use the lowest AAC revenue figure as a barometer. $39 million

Our regional, financial, academic and athletic peers are in the AAC and soon to be PAC.

We are in the wrong conference.

I have a hard time believing LaTech's Athletic budget is bigger than USM's. They can't even afford to buy out Gumby and struggled with their last buy out. I'd say they were closer to Monroes budget.

If these are accurate than we are out spending Tulane. Where's all that AAC money going or are they just not paying for anything at all from the University side. Did they just say; "ok we built the stadium, we can go cheap on everything else." If that's the case then I would love to see what we could do here the extra 7 million.

    Think of it this way.

    Rice.............................$64,414,381 (AAC)
    Memphis......................$62,737,618 (AAC)
    North Texas.................$53,633,725 (AAC)
    UTSA..........................$48,689,117 (AAC)
    Texas State......................$46,310,998 (PAC?)
    Tulsa.............................$46,084,367 (AAC)
    UAB.............................$43,271,595 (AAC)
    Tulane...........................$39,305,494 (AAC)

Louisiana.........................$42,952,287 (Where do you want to be?)

    Troy................................$36,937,664 (SLC2)
    South Alabama.................$30,591,632 (SLC2)
    Louisiana Tech................$30,305,928 (SLC3)

An asterisk should always be on these budgets. It is never a perfect gauge of how much an athletic department is spending on athletics.

The obvious thing to point out is that tuition is part of this number. So a school like Rice with a $60,000 tuition cost is going to have a much more inflated budget than a school like ours with a $10,000 (in state) tuition.
