Would love to see ECU in our conference. But, they would join the East leaving a gap in the West. The closest Eastern Division team to the West is GA State. Would they agree to the move?

We need a presence in Texas. Hate to see us lose TX State. Sam Houston is the only viable candidate to move as Rice, UTSA and N. Texas will not leave the AAC. Is SHSU a better option than LA Tech?

I can deal with the Tech posters on our name, IF UL and the SBC make it clear to LA Tech that the conference policy (as we did with ULM) is that the ONLY reference to our university is Louisiana and UL. Anything short of that is a no-go. I don't want to see the name battle that we have finally won (outside of the state) start all over again by LA Tech which we know they will if given the opportunity.

Troy, the furthest East team in The West division is 669 miles from ECU.
Mizzou, the furthest West team in the East div of SEC is 711 miles from Auburn, The furthest east team in the West
