Just to prepare everyone. Tech will be getting the invite to SBC. Conference university presidents will(expected)to be voting on Monday. From what i heard, they have the votes.

This is a terrible move for the future of this conference and us. I think it will solidify us as permanent residents of this division which will become the SLCII after the most of the eastern schools leave for the AAC in a few years.

Get ready for Sam Houston and Jax State next.

Texas State gave us as much value as Tech will. Neither school did or will move the needle for the SBC.

I don’t hate it but obviously stronger options are on the table. Will make for some easy travel games and I expect the Louisiana/Southern Miss/LaTech/stAte hate train to be pretty wild. It could be worse.

We're going to be the southern version of the MAC, a bus league playing most of our games during the week with nobody in the stands.

By all means let's not pursue the PAC. This is going to be so much better. Right. Get ready to be ULL and Louisiana Lafayette to death as the name issue rears its ugly head again. That is my main objection to them. Can we at least get the conference to get LA Tech on board with our name as ULM and the conference have done?
