How many does Allegiant Stadium in Vegas hold 65k?

If UL played against you name it could not do it.
Tickets will probably be funded by a NGO.

This is the exact mentality that has kept us where we are. Small minded thinking. Let's think of ways we can hitch ourselves to smaller schools lower than us so we can "survive"? Typical. Not, what do we do to get to the next level....its, what can we do to NEVER get to the next level. What's the answer some of you have? Let's invite a school that NOBODY wants and is languishing in a dead conference. A school that actively seeks ways to keep us down. Or how about Jackson State guys?! The money and fans will pour in by the boatload. Geezus.

Sounds like a blueprint to lay down and die. No thanks. The day that happens is the day Im done with UL athletics. Period. What better way to say Ive given up then to think Tech and Jackson State is the answer. If you believe that, than you've given up too. All this sounds like an episode of Lowered Expectations.

Dude, that's 2 HBCU's playing each other. You think UL is getting that many fans to go play Jackson St on the road? You think UL is getting this fan increase to come see us play Jackson f'in State at Cajun Field? You've lost your mind.
No! Nobody is saying that. What they will do is bring publicity and light to the Sunbelt Conference. Mainly to the Western portion of the Conference.

What I want is a viable candidate within our footprint someone who can move the needle and help prevent the East from breaking away. If that split ever happened, MTSU and WKU would absolutely align themselves with the East.

That’s why the next addition has to come from the West. And frankly, I don’t think WKU or MTSU are the answer.

Name a candidate that is a viable candidate within the Western portion of the Sunbelt?

We can agree to disagree but that is the way i see it.

Jackson State is potentially could be best move. Like i said it would never happen that is just my opinion on the reasons that i stated.

Oh, so Jackson State has elevated their conference? Other than when Deion coached there, nobody gave a rats arse about Jackson State. But you think if they come to the Sunbelt, all of a sudden we're gonna get all kinds of exposure? They aren't even doing anything to elevate the conference they're in now. What are you smoking?

    Jackson State. How embarrassingly disappointing.

Think about all the high school athletes across the country. What’s keeping so many of them from choosing Jackson State? One thing they’re still in Division I-AA for (FCS). That’s the barrier. That’s the ceiling.

But if Jackson State ever makes the jump to FBS? Watch out. They’d instantly become one of the most attractive destinations in the country. With their brand, culture, fan support, and recruiting base, they’d pull in top-tier classes year after year. That move changes everything.

They are already pulling top-tier athletes in FCS and already have the fan support.

I know without a doubt that if they ever made that move they would out recruit us and basically anyone in the Sunbelt.

    That is my opinion.

Another reason Jackson State doesn’t get the national attention it deserves is because they don’t even participate in the FCS Playoffs. Instead, the SWAC champion and the MEAC champion automatically go to the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta, bypassing the traditional postseason route that many fans and analysts follow.

That means no bracket drama, no ESPN coverage during FCS playoff weekends, and far fewer chances to shock a ranked opponent on a national stage. It limits their visibility not because of talent or fan support, but because of the postseason structure they’re locked into.

If JSU were in the FBS or in a conference with playoff access, they'd be part of the broader national conversation every December.

The SBCE already has a geographical 8-6 advantage. They are not giving that up. They got a 3-1 advantage when the last four joined. The SBCW was all giddy over USM and paid zero attention to the move.
