What the administration has done well is sacrifice fan participation in pursuit of more revenue. Corporate money and caters to the tea sipping white collar crowd. They have grown the brand on a national level to a point we didn’t think was possible.

But, make no mistake, lack of fan participation is 90% on the athletic department and 10% on Acadiana.

I really want to get on Ragin’ Review and talk about this Louisiana Tech issue—I’m all in.

Y’all need to realize something: to the casual fan—the one who only goes to one or two games a year that crosses the Basin to catch an LSU game—a Tech vs. UL matchup peaks there curiosity, and means something. It grabs attention. It sparks interest. And that’s the bottom line.

Extreme over simplification. All these people that think Tech is going to drive so much interest are just flat out wrong.

Id say more-so 70% to 30%. I agree Admin has dropped to ball in numerous aspects to grow fan participation.

Last time we played La Tech at home was 2014. 25,607. They beat us by 28. We then proceeded to get hammered by Ole Miss and Boise. Next home game against the mighty Georgia State Panthers: 24,616. La Tech doesn’t move the needle like you think they do.

It is a crying shame that by Tech boycotting Louisiana and ULM much of the last 25 years that it created a desperation move by the two schools who were satisfied with their plight in conference and not by the school in want of home.
