From CajunT earlier in this thread, "My understanding is that there was an agreement attained between ESPN, SBC and LaTech to respect our choice of the use of Louisiana to receive our vote this morning. That was negotiated over the past week. Take it for what it is worth, they agreed to doing so privately under the table to pacify our leadership and brand. I was told this earlier but now they are bound. We will see what happens June next year when the officially enter the SBC."
To clarify, I am not questioning T. Just couldn't pay me to believe Tech will honor any such agreement.
It’s not a well kept secret. Tech is telling our admin they’ll respect our branding. In return, we voted Yes.
Do I expect them to honor their word? Of course not
Interesting article! Not good for us…

We can agree with the writer's opinion the latech add is uninspiring and doesn't move the needle. Just a turd sandwich decision but what's done is done. We shouldn't be surprised if SBC East schools look out for their own self interest. Its just not something we should worry ourselves over what they might do. What is demoralizing is we seem incapable of articulating a plan for the future to the Ragin Cajun fanbase. Fail to plan and fail to communicate the plan to is a plan to fail. If we are 'Forever Sunbelt' then come out and say it out loud. No one likes being taking for granted for donations/financial support, but that's what it seems with the lack of communication for future. Will it be either A) make every attempt to compete with G6 peers at the highest level possible or B) Forever Sunbelt?
It does sound kind of funny but if you’re not familiar with them, the Nebraska Furniture Marts are massive and normally in upscale areas and part of large retail and entertainment districts. There’s one up near Plano and they’re building one here in Cedar Park outside of Austin. They also have Sheel’s sporting goods stores (think Dick’s on steroids!) near all of them. It’s actually very impressive and way too good for CUSA.
