JMU fans already are competing with Marshall for “most arrogant” fanbase in the league. Ruston would be stiff competition.

AFA T-Joe retiring, pray snd hope he does it while Landry is governor. It’s a coin flip, but a Blanco type governor could give UL a political hack like Bruno at ULM.

Did they release the votes? 10 out of 13 at least in favor of tech?
Would be funny though if tech turns sunbelt down and then cusa kicks them out, but turbine wiuld be jealous of a new indy

I dont think the CDR in Chief trophy is stupid

What is the reason that many think the American conference will implode?

Which is exactly why we should’ve made the move with Texas St. Associate with programs you want to be peers with.

But no way we’re ever going to be aggressive with athletics and take risks. We are who we are.

Just like I expected. This was so predictable and avoidable.

    SBC 2030 is unstoppable now.

Many are saying we can't afford to move to the PAC. LA Tech has a much smaller budget than we do and is trying to save costs, yet is spending $5M to get out of CUSA. You are who you associate with. Half of our division is the old Gulf States Conference. Just what are we accomplishing staying in the Sun Belt? It costs a little more to be in the PAC but look at who we would be associated with. Texas State understands that. We need to find ways to accommodate for the increased costs, not just simply say know our place because we can't afford it. We didn't take that approach academically and look what we accomplished.

Be creative and find ways to generate added revenue. Heck, better conference teams, better bowl games, a huge uptick in basketball with more NCAA conference bids, separation from ULM and LA Tech, being in a conference with schools like Wash State, Oregon State, Boise State, San Diego State and Gonzaga vs. ULM, LA Tech, S. Alabama and Troy, better scheduling, all leading to a major change in perception and greater fan support. If LA Tech can spend $5M to move from CUSA to the SBC, surely UL can spend $5M to move from the SBC to the PAC. What we need is a breakout year this year like Tulane had when they won 11 games and beat USC and put them on a national stage which they are still on, and the PAC will come calling for us to join Texas State. We could be gone before Tech ever steps foot in the conference. Wouldn't that be something?

No we are acting like we didn't even try. Because we never have tried to move on from the SBC.
